Feedback for Ogero

Yea I've also had an increase of 20-25ms on the ping, funny is that ping to Google is still ~100ms though

I'm facing an increase in ping around 30ms , my ping in World of Warcraft used to be around 75 to 80 ms , since yesterday it became 100 to 107ms.

I am with OGERO, however I did not get the upgrade yet, I don't think it is happening everywhere in Lebanon, because my friend is with TerraNet and his ping is still the same.

It's impossible to play like this !!

Terranet are an exception , I don't know where they get their bandwidth but after the 'upgrades' they are the only ISP who actually upgraded their customer's internet

Finally got my speed upgrade im on 2mbps now after a looong wait..(Chiyah CO)

If I understand correctly (or according to the cable guys in my old neighborhood), Terra and Sodetel have a license to import their own bandwidth from outside Lebanon and bypass Ogero/MoT.

I have the 2mbps unlimited plan. My latency and download speed are good, and the torrent i'm downloading has thousands of seeds.

I got my upgrade 2mb on Friday 5th September (Mazraa CO), however the latency is not fixed yet.

Nope I download most stuff from Pirate Bay.

Well I am on cyberia and it looks like it's resolved (for now) it went back to normal 109 ms to bbc.co.uk , it used to be a little better (100 ms) but this is fine if it stays that way
Note that it once got resolved then went back to 140 in couple hours so don't get your hopes high

Getting normal pings back in achrafieh, hope it stays like this.

In Saida everything's normal, make sure nothing on your network is downloading/uploading constantly.

Well I consider myself lucky that day to be talking with someone that actually and properly knew about the upgrades.

Guys,am i the only one who didn't recieve the speed upgrade?

You gotta call them(1515) and ask for your upgrade, and if you're lucky you'll get it. I called them mid August and I got my upgrade, thankfully I was talking with someone who properly knew about the upgrades.

When you call them you'll either get 3 replies:
1- "Ok it will work in 5-15 minutes" - meaning they'll switch your speed from 1mbit/s to 2mbit/s and you get the upgrade
2- "sorry, it's not your turn"- the same message my friend who lives in the same area got
3- "It's not ready yet" - another message another friend of mine got

It's really roll the dice when it comes to Ogero apparently =)

I think they're working on it. It probably takes time to upgrade every single network, no?

I did call them before and got something similar to wait for your turn. Going to try again tomorrow I guess it's almost October.

Guys, I am looking for some feedback on ogero's 2mbps plan. For those who have it, are you able to download 24/7 or at least for significant amounts of time without experiencing throttling? Is the latency good as well?

BTW I am on the "2mbps 40 GB" package but my speed is still not upgraded.
