TheLebGeek wroteHey guys, so today ogero called me and fixed the problem. They didn't even come to the house to check anything. The guy who called said that the dsl stopped working for me automatically because i had alot of noise in the line. So he just reactivated it from his office and its working now. Im very skeptical of what he said though. I mean i know there is some noise in my line but that the broadband stopped working at all and that he had to just push a button from his office to make it work again????!!? Can this be true?? He said i should change my internal wires to stop this problem from happening again... Whatyou think guys???
I was contacted as well in the morning and he fixed the issue in a matter of minutes (just like your case). But I didn't get in touch with him after it was fixed to ask him what might have caused it.
To be honest, my line indeed has been having a lot of errors ever-since I have been switched to VDSL. This is despite the fact that I have changed my wiring just before being switched (replaced old cables by cat5e cables) but they remained passing near electrical wires which is probably the reason behind the errors.
As for whether the errors could cause a disconnection like the one witnessed, I am not sure to be honest. According to what I've read they can cause continuous re-syncs and things of this sort. But a permanent disconnection like the one we witnessed (which needs manual intervention to be fixed), this I've never read about before. But I could be wrong though so don't take my words for granted.
