dio wroteDon't get me wrong. I'm shocked at the level of improvement, what pisses me off is the fact that they blantantly advertised so much on Twitter, it's like the bit off more than they could chew. But besides that, I honestly think what they've done so far is better than anything they've done in the past few years combined.
Wait just a second, please don't get me wrong here, but you do realize that the infrastructure was there all along and it just needed someone to follow through on the already set plan, right ?
The old chairman was just an ass and the new one actual has some work ethics & understands what internet means to a developing country and it's youth.
None the less, they did bite off way more than they can chew.
If you look at it from a broader perspective, this is the actual test phase (not july/june).
Some people are benefiting to a certain extent, others are barely receiving the "upgrade" while being charged for it. And many others are still months, if not a year at least, from actually receiving the upgrade/speed they said they'll deliver on August 1st
(That's without mentioning the instability of the service because they weren't really prepared to handle the increasing load)
They advertised fiber optics plans (FTTH) for crying out loud and all you hear is "that's not near available, soon, soon".
I said this before on a another post: but there's still the government/ministry cabinet that needs to approve of the active cabinet installment, then there is their publication in the official gazette, then there is the logistical implementation (wish alone is going to take months), and then SOME people will benefit while other will still wait
(And that's not even f***** fiber to the home, it's just speeds "up to" 50 Mbps)
