arithma Did you know that C++ had a goes down to operator. Neither did I or many of the other people on stackoverflow Behold http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1642028/what-is-the-name-of-this-operator I think it should work on C, Java, and C# as well (not really sure anymore about C# and Java).
jsaade I saw the question by mistake in the morning. Funny I guess. That's a very complicated operator, so C++ Standard committee even placed its description in two different parts of Standard. You could read about it in 5.2.6/2 and 5.9 in C++03 Standard.
Joe I might be mistaken, but this is not a "funny operator", rather a(n un)fortunate combination of post decrement and comparison operators. If you think about it, there's nothing complicated about it. Just comes from C, C++, Java, ... terrible handling of white spaces... :-/
arithma Indeed rahmu. Which the answers on stackoverflow elaborate well. It's the post decrement operator (--) and the greater than operator. But I was fooled by it until I saw the explanation. Which is the funny part. Even the author of the question had his tongue in cheek the way I got from the responses..
