I currently run OC Guru and MSI Afterburner together, as I use one (MSI) for the fan control, and the other to power down the power phases on the GPU when the horsepower is not required.

Questiion is; does anybody think that running both GPU OC software simulataneously might cause any hardware or software instability? or is it a non issue to run both at the same time?

I tried google but couldn't find a solid answer
It's fine

The only major problem i see is some games hate such applications; Battlefiled 3 on release had issues with Asus's GamerOSD and SmartDoctor (similar programs) - it's fixed now; can't remember what other games had issues as well

If anything your keeping your card alive on the long run; just make sure those temps are low.
Thanks,

Currently temps dont excede 56c under load with oc - i just sensed that if OC setting is not same on both, it may cause a prob. neither seems to take priority over the other; whatever the last adjustment was overrides previous settings

But if both are to run at startup, then the card would run at the settings of whichever loads later.

By the way, your GPU temperature is 56C, but under which kind of load? A game? OCCT? Furmark?
Did you check the other temperature, like PCB and VRM temperatures, and make sure they are alright?
Did you try adjusting your voltage and lowering it and testing for stability? It would let you run a few degrees cooler.
56c @ Full load - using MSI Kombustor load test and also BF3 on Ultra running stock voltage with no instability

I think 56c is perfect with load, some other folk hit the 70c mark with same OC - Im glad i fitted every hole in this case with a fan!
