Is there by any chance any gaming laptop with a price around 500$? (New, not used)
Edit:if not, any good laptop in that price that can support games like Call of Duty, Tomb Raider (Crystal Dynamic's), Harry Potter..
Gamer
if can Specify what you want to play? and on what setting (graphics)
Khaled
I doubt you will find a gaming laptop for such a low price. At 500$ you may be lucky to find a 14 or 15 inch Net-book, but not more. At least none that i know of especially that u want it new.
If you want gaming raise your budget to 800$ and more and you will find some. Raise it even higher to 1000$ and you will find many.
And as gamer said, its important that you specify what specs you are aiming for exactly, your average core 2 duo laptop will handle Counter strike but will die if you load MW3 on high settings. So it also depends on the games you wish to play. So provide further info on what you expect to play so we can help

A 500$ budget for gaming is too low unless you go for a console.
A gaming PC's lowest budget should be 900$ and up.
For 500$ the highest specs you'll find is an i3 with 4GB (If not 2) ram and 500 or 320GB hard disk. Without any Windows and no dedicated video card.
I suggest that you higher your budget or just get a console.

$500 can barely get you a low-end gaming desktop / very good office PC, let alone a gaming laptop. When having a budget such as $500, usually the only option is to consider building a bargain desktop (EoL new parts, for example), or save dollars off every single component (motherboard, chassis, cpu, gpu, etc...) in order to fit all the PC components into your budget.

Well I thought of consols but I move in summer every weekend to the mountain, it used to bug me taking the old PS2 with me (removing the cables from the tv and stuff..) so I thought of a gaming laptop
I'm looking for such games: Tomb Raider (the upcoming one) , Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Call Of Duty.... So I guess I wont find a laptop with such low price, right?
Khaled
I seriously doubt you will. Besides note that Uncharted is a PS3 exclusive so even if u get the highest ended desktop or laptop system its impossible to play it.
With a 500$ budget its simply not possible to find what you seek
Gamer
One recommendation is then a
PS VITA,
Below your budget, (can get one for 330 wifi only or 435 with wifi and 3g), has psn exclusive and i think you can hook it up to the tv like the psp
hussein-berjaoui
@Khaled oh I never new
@Gamer I thought about the PS vita, the game list on wikipedia shows silly games and mini games like golf and fifa and stuff..
Q: is there a normal laptop that can support the games that I've listed, along with the alternatives and the same gender?
AvoK95
Your best choice would be a laptop with the new AMD A or E Series APU (CPU+GPU in one chip) But even those cost about 600$ and up.
If you can pay 600$ I suggest that you speak with
ROG Store He had a laptop with the E series APU with 3GB of ram and 320GB HDD. He claims that it can run MW2 with no lag at medium settings.

May I get the laptop's name?

PS vita, has
uncharted,
Call of Duty (Fall 2012), but dunno about the others yet
Im not sure if you already considered the following:
* to get another PS3 for the mountains (and sell it after summer)
* see if anyone
rents desktops or gaming laptops for 3 months.
* look for a portable desktop, (no monitors or keyboard) Like the
mac mini ($599 in the US)
Khaled
To be honest, i find it useless to buy a new system just for a month of vacation. What i mean is for a couple of minute's work of unplugging and plugging in the vacation location its not really worth it .. unless you have no TV there then ok you are right.
But point is if you are looking at a proper gaming platform Vita is yr way to go for the price you give ( in case u cant have the Xbox / PS3 i mean ). A gaming for 500$ wont do you anything.
And if you wanted to consider a portable desktop ( not sure they existed as gamer's systems ... iMac for example is very weak if i recall correctly ) ... then you would be better with PS3 or Xbox .. whats the point of getting a portable desktop if you are still stuck with the fact that you need a monitor / TV to operate it ...
So if you have TV go for PS3 or Xbox ... if you dont then get a PS vita ...

I have tv there but I also need a new laptop soon or later, in addition of a console so I was like, why not getting 2 in one. I was at Abed Tahan today, I never knew that even normal laptop cost about 800$ (by big brother usually get me my laptops) in that case, I'd buy the Alienware laptop, what do you guys think?

You wont find an alienware even at 1100$ here in lebanon, for some reason the price here skyrockets .. just because its " Alienware " ...
And with 500-600 $ you wont get a laptop good enough to last you anything if its gaming you seek, it wouldn't handle the new games at all. Yes ROG says it runs MW2 but try running BF3 it'll die, try going higher than medium and it'll die .. its not even present proof to consider it for gaming.
Your best bet in my own opinion is a console since you have a TV ..
monkey-d-luffy
No chance! Alienware Skyrocket in Lebanon... If you have relatives who are coming soon then tell them to bring you a laptop with them (my mom bought a 500$ laptop in the US while here it price was like 900$ for an unknown reason)
hussein-berjaoui
Then let's remove Alienware from head..
@Khaled yes, maybe Tomb Raider 2012 (which is my obsession) won't work on it.. I'd die..
@Monkey D.Lurry I have alot of relaives like everywhere.. US, Canada, Golf, even China.. But I don't love getting gifts, and they won't accept me to pay..
The PS vita's game list sound so childish, unlike the game I'm looking for.
After all, I guess the Xbox will solve it all, but I heard there is some modding problems and new protection on cds and stuff..
Khaled
Well i have a modded Xbox and true you have to mod it every now and then. But if you arent consdering online gaming get it its cheaper than a PS3 ( at least if u go with the arcade version that i have if you can still find it )
