  • How to get google adsense money in lebanon?

I helped my friend to create some website and we applied to google adsense about 3 months ago, we now have about 400$ if not more.

the thing is we're not getting the code to verify the address, when i create a website, i send the money to someone i know in USA and he give it to me via western union, but my friend don't know anyone outside lebanon.

google say that you can receive the money via western union, directly to lebanon, but we have to get the verification code somehow first.

So how do you receive your google adsense money?
Quick side note, if anyone (@someone, or anyobdy else), could document the issue on "How to work with Adsense in Lebanon" it would make a great entry for our (eternally private beta) wiki. Anyone interested?
@rahmu yes i guess this should be a wiki coz AFAIK very few lebanese websites have adsense, like masteringapi.com, i asked the blogger about it, he didn't reply to my question :( i guess those who have adsense don't live in lebanon or send the money to someone they know outside lebanon... if this issue is solved we can see some ads on this forum :)

besides companies will not be interesting in creating websites and hiring web designers and developers unless they can make money and the most common way to make money is adsense, so this is a problem for any lebanese person who would like to create a website :)
That is really weird issue, I am sure google does send the money as many websites I know have adsense.
Usually it is done via company who has a verified address [like born interactive or koein].

Additionally you should be using http://www.google.com/dfp/info/sb/index.html
where you can even serve your own ads.

Now back to adsense, why not post and directly ask them via
http://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!forum/adsense
When I subscribed to Adsense, they eventually (after a few months, if I recall correctly) sent the code in a small envelope to the address I listed.
Mind you, google were having an issue sending money to people in Europe (late for a few weeks) recently.

if so can you please elaborate on what you did?
Give Google your exact address in Lebanon and they'll send you the verification code by mail "Leban Post", once you receive & provide them the correct code then you're an approved user, after that you can use your preferred way to collect your money, Western Union or in any other way..

This info I got from my cousin, he's a Google Ad-sense user for about 3 years..

@rtp google adsense worked indeed but it's not because "i gave google my exact address" as many people stated, in fact just saying that without explaining anything else is too vague.

I can't stress this point enough, google DOESN"T care about your address, if you're living in lebanon, that's because, in countries like lebanon, google will only pay you through western union as far as i know. That means you can go to any western union branch and pick up your money. Here.

What you need to do is simple, put your address, and here's the thing, in the zip code field things get tricky, enter a wrong zip code and google won't accept you. We don't have zip codes in lebanon, we all know that, but i don't know who created a list of zip codes for lebanon!! I don't know what they are used for...

You need to put the right zip code, or maybe any zip code who knows, but you need to pick one from that list. For example i live in Adonis and i use this zip code 1200 which belongs to Jounieh. The zip code is what matters trust me.

If you don't get your verification code, you will need to send them a copy of your id and stuff like that so they can verify you, and believe me you won't receive the verification code so prepare a copy of your id. You might have to wait around 5 month, maybe less maybe more before your account gets verified, once verified you won't have any problem picking money from western union.

We don't have zip codes in lebanon, we all know that, but i don't know who created a list of zip codes for lebanon!! I don't know what they are used for...

am not sure these postal codes are recognized by google at least the Elissar one doesn't seem to be functional, i will try the rest and see how that goes.
I just checked the address in my account. I left the postal code field empty. Though I'm not sure if they changed the rules since then.

Yeah man i noted that, just tried Elissar and now trying Bikfaya since they are way closer than Jounieh, I will be going with Jounieh next if it doesn't work. Thanks for your input

Tried 1200 and it didn't work as well! What the hell!


Edit:
It turned out that the street name should first contain a number and then the actual street name. Since my street name didn't have a number i actually invented one and google just confirmed that my account has been successful.
I can confirm that the postal 1207 is working.

The weird part is that I didn't have to activate it as mentioned by some before.
