Recently flashed DD-WRT on my WR941nD Tp-Link for limiting bandwidth and consumption for several PCs on my home network. Nothing much of a wow, however.

What did you do with your DD-WRT that you can share ?
I have openwrt on my to-wr1043nd, pretty close to dd-wrt. Are you new to dd-wrt? If so, I recommend switching to openwrt, it's more powerful, and packages are readily available, dd-wrt is based on openwrt. However, if you've been playing with it for some time and have experience with it, then it's fine I guess.

My setup is large to delve into every single package I installed, but basically I worked on having mass storage of different Filesystems working on the router, iftop for per component bandwidth and connection monitoring, multiple ssids (still a work in progress), ssh, n2n edge node VPN (still a work in progress, too), proper QoS (also a work in progress). Hoping to eventually setup maybe an SIP server, and a guest login hotspot, per IP / MAC bandwidth consumption monitoring, logging, and graphing. Actually, that's all I can remember off the top of my head now, I will add more if I remember. How about you, what's your dd-wrt setup like?
i could never get it flashed to my Dlink DIR-300 properly, never tried since

guess ill give it a shot again soon

you're talking about ddwrt or openwrt? Both are worth it, go for it if it imposes no risks. I may be able to help you. Tell me what the problem is.

The router in question has a fried Internet Port but all the network ports work fine

Even though half the guides on the internet sepecify the internet port, i still kept trying one of the network ports, i forgot exactly where, but i had major issues at first telnetting to the router, and later issues (no idea if its related to the fried port), ill try again with openwrt when the time see's fit, i'll let you know if i need any help ! :D
