Hello people,
90's kids will get this :
So I found my Pokemon yellow in my old closet, on which I had caught 150 pokemon, maybe the best moment I've had this year :P
For those who don't know, GameBoy games involve saves that run on a battery. Once this battery dies your save file is lost forever. For example most games are losing their saves recently, that’s because these batteries don’t last forever. For example Pokemon Red came out in 1998 and that game is now over 13 years old. Meaning the battery is over 13 years old. While it may still work now, the time is ticking on when the battery will finally fail.
However, I found this
http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/usb-64m-smart-card that is able to backup a gameboy cartridge's save, and copy the files to a PC through USB! Awesome right ? The only problem is, I cant find it being sold anywhere except on that site, which only accept payment through PayPal.
Might anyone have something similar, or knows of another solution ?
Im living in a crysis as if the battery is a ticking time bomb :(
