JackB wroteShant, I didn't really decide to
Well I was looking at many options, like Canada, Europe or US, but I thought that I never lived in my home country yet and it wouldn't be a bad idea to do so for at least a couple of years.
And now I'm considering leaving the country for a job, and the reasons are:
1- There's no professionalism here (not to mention no one knows what he's doing and no one is ever on time for meetings)
2- The Lebanese mentality regarding politics and the internal situation has got on my nerves.
3- There is no peace of mind here: If you build a business you don't know when war will take place and your business goes to hell.
4- Jobs don't pay well (I probably need to work for 6 - 7 years to pay back what I spend for my university degree alone)
5- It's a very small market: no ambitions (and its difficult to export from here)
6- We are not exposed to the technology and infrastructure of other developed countries (which puts lots of constraints on what we can do/achieve)
7- I spend on average 3 hours a day in traffic (very unproductive)
You want me to continue?
haha, no thats enough, all i have to say is, welcome to lebanon ;)
