Hi all,
how can I access my DVR(cams) from internet without Real IP on my router.
Acctully, i read a lot of articals regarding this point and it is working everywhere except lebanon.
this can be done by DYDNS and port forwarding on the DSL router.
Do you have any idea?
Tarek
if you have a connection with wise , port forwarding alone can do the trick ... if not many dvrs support dynamic dns like many of the router out there . tell me which dvr and router you have so i can lead you better.
natim
thx for your reply
i am using AVtech DVR. and i am configuring the port forwarding on router Dlink ogero router not on the DVR.
Tarek did you try connecting the DVR to ogero dsl and it works?
Aly
dyndns does not work without a real IP, you can use teamviewer to remote desktop the computer and see the DVRs.

In addition to what Aly's saying, don't be confused between Public IP & Static IP, public IP is a real IP but changed every time you connect.
Static IP is a real and non-changed IP.

Since you have no real IP, this can be achieved by running a VPN (using VPN software such as OpenVPN or n2n) on the PC connected to the cameras, and on the PC on which you wish to view the camera feed. For a really portable solution, getting OpenVPN on an Android phone, and using a supernode (which connects the two peers running OpenVPN) seems to be a good solution.

Thanks guys for your support, i start useing the teamviewer to overcome my current problem to access my DVR one by one at a time.
Is there a solution so can i can open more than one connection simultaneously to my DVR(or PC connected to DVR)?
dp0001
you can download the dyndns software and have it run from your pc,

i believe that it should work without real ip. i have to work on that

The only way to do that is to use a VPN. Then you need to set up a video stream from the camera, which would be a capture device.this can easily be done by software such as VLC, media player. Then your can access the stream via a special URL by software that supports the video streaming protocol.
@dp0001: it has been explained several times, dynamic DNS can only help when you have a dynamic REAL IP, which is done by having your PC sync its IP address to the dynamic DNS service provider after every IP address change, so that the PC can be connected to with a static domain name. dynamic DNS does not make up for the lack of a real IP. Whether our internal (non-real) IP addresses are dynamic or not is thus irrelevant.

Not with Terranet, i'v called them, they told me you must have 4 mbps plan or higher in order to have non transparent network. Or real IP. DDNS port fwd wont help if you don't have real IP. Since your behind the ISP NAT (transparent proxy).
ram-at-82
that is right. i cancelled my DSL account with terranet and i have now ogero DSL. you can switch to ogero, sodetel or IDM . these ISP are still assigning dynamic real IPs to their DSL modems.
cray
hello can you please give me more info about DDNS and ogero dsl router configuration to access my cameras?
ram-at-82
Hi Cray
go to
www.noip.com and create an account for you. it is for free ( you can have up to 3 hosts for free).Once you create your account and add a host to it, you can setup your modem to use this account ( if your modem model is thomson or tp-link, go to toolbox and account your ddns account under dynamic ddns tab). then to access your dvr fro outside, you should set up port forwarding on your modem
ismailghandour
hello, if you want you can call ismail ghandour at this number 0096170148430 or i.ghandour@hotmail.com..its working 100% and cost only 10$

dyndns will help you in case you have real DYNAMIC ip, but it won't help if your ISP provides you with a private ip.
The dyndns client job is to update your ip address in dns records every time it changes, if you notice you access your machine via a domain name, the client update your domain with your new ip so it can still be accessible. your domain remains the same and your ip changes, dyndns keep track of it via its client.

Does anyone facing recently problems in port forwarding on Ogero routers?
I think Ogero stop providing dynamic real ip to their routers for some locations or accounts?
Are you facing similar issue as above?
NuclearVision
Check your ip, disconnect your router, connect, check your ip.
If it is the same, then it is not real.
