In Need of a Computerized System

Hello,

I am in need of help.
My request is that i need a device/Chip that is capable to be controlled using the internet and can have access over it remotely.
The connection could be over Wi-Fi but i'm thinking more of a 3G connection because i would like to have internet access over a high distance range, and as we all know Wi-Fi is restricted in a specific distance.
So what kind of device is capable of communicating through 3G connection? May i request the specifications of it for it to run as requested?.

Okay obviously i need to specify more.
I'm studying computer science so,
what i'm planning to do is to control a small car using WI-FI signal for example by programming an application on an iOS device that can fully control that Object/Car(move it forward, backward,etc...).
so in order to remotely connect with that kind of devices what specification i need to have?

Your best bet, as a shortcut is to use two iOS devices. One on site and one remotely.
Otherwise, just research for "embedded chip 3G" or "embedded chip wifi"

What you can do is get yourself an Arduino board and all the necessary parts which would control the motors and other components of your car, connect GSM GPRS Moduleto your Arduino so that it can have an internet connection through a SIM card. Then you can have your device connected to the internet and you would do what you want to do.

You can find allot of examples of similar projects including sample code.

Thank you Ayman!! i did a lot of research and i found out about the arduino board but i didn't know that i could connect a GPRS Module with the board. Really useful!!
