OK so I have an iMac which does not have an Esata port and an external Bluray player with only E-sata connection. So basically a USB to Esata converter should work but I could not find such thing in Lebanon ( I've been looking since over a month )
What I have is a USB to SATA adapter, to connect external SATA 2.5 HDD drivers and a power adapter. But since the Bluray drive doesn't need more than 5V 0.9mA , I think it can be powered from USB only.
The bluray drive is in an enclosure. I tried to connect the Esata to the Sata but it is not working. The device is remaining OFF.
I am not very familiar with eSata technology to be honest, so if someone can give a hand, I'd be thankful.
What I need is a way to connect the eSata drive to USB using USB to SATA converter.
Thanks.
