Joe, my abroad friend had this modem so i was asking him about it before i get my router (X3000) anyway he claimed that this router was amazing but it had something bad that it sometimes drops the connection (modem in it isn't perfect) so you have to turn it off or remove the adsl line and put it back again to connect again, although now am looking to help my friend by getting a local router still seems hard... but dunno if you want check the Linksys X3000 it's performance is solid and never dropped a connection till now so far the best adsl router i used do your search about these both routers and some others to set your mind... however, can you tell me how are you intending to ship it from amazon usa to lebanon? and i assume if by DHL/aramex or any service there will be extra cost (custom fees)
Modems don't perform the same on different lines, it's always advised to get a Modem with Broadcom onboard chipset if you are 2Km+ from DSLAM. It sync slower but much more stable.
