  • Check my android app: Beirut Electricity Cut Off

Hello everyone,

This is my first post where I would like to share my android app called "Beirut Electricity Cut Off" found in the market here: https://market.android.com/details?id=net.samham.electricity

The app displays daily electricity cut off times in both Beirut & outside Beirut (it was called this way since i originally planned it only for Beirut & recently updated the version to support other areas)

It also has home screen widgets, for full details please visit the market page above

Let me know what you think, any suggestions, comments are welcome

Please rate it in the market if you find it useful :)

Thanks,
Samer
Well I already saw it, it's quite useful and interesting, but didn't get a chance to use it because the electricity's beeing cut unregulary these days..
hahahaha, i really like the idea! any chance you can import it to symbian?
Very handy, but you should put some custom settings option..
Hi, thanks all your the replies,

@shant, sorry never tried programming on symbian before, it shouldn't be very hard since they both use java language, so I may consider porting it to symbian whenever i have time

@AvoK95, why do you need custom settings, do you have cut off cases not covered by the existing times? In fact i was considering custom times at the beginning, but then i asked many friends from all over Lebanon and I concluded that all cut off times outside Beirut are the same and have a cycle of 2 days as follows:
1st day cut off times: 12-6am, 10-2pm and 6-12pm
2nd day cut off times: 6-10am, 2-6pm
If you you know an area where this is not applicable please let me know (of course without considering current days irregular cut offs)

@Devil'sAdvocate, no sorry i do only android apps
if you have time, please import it to symbian id be very grateful
Haha I downloaded this app a while back, made me crack! Amazing idea dude.

No, but there are times where they change the schedule's to irregular times, for example in 3ash2ut, the electricity cuts off at 10 toll 12 then goes off again at 2 till 4 then off again at 6 till 12.
There are some places that have their own time, so it's nice to have a custom setting available.
