  • Connect your PC fan to a dc Adaptor

I wantd to share this tut, for some they alrdy know it
Tools :

1. The cylindrical thing is just a tape for the naked cables to be covered with,(its better if u use black ducktape for that)
2. Use the knife to remove the covers of the cable
3. Connect your Red PC/Axial wires to the Adapters WHITE wire.
4. Connect your Black PC/Axial wires to the Adapters BLACK wire

its an old burnt fan :(
wait, you could reverse polarity on those adapters, so you can connect the wires in any way you want, also i don't recommend this, these adapters don't have a stable voltage so you're not actually controlling the fan
Actually, my experience was that they do have stable voltage but that the voltage they give was not accurate, that could be judged the by the noise the fan makes compared to when it was connected to a PC power supply, or it could be measured with a voltmeter. It's great for use as a fan controller for laptop external fan cooling, especially.

Thumbs up, ibxoful.

last time i checked the voltage was way above it was rated, get to its rated voltage when under load, that again its still not a fix voltage, i don't think a fan loads the adapter enough to make it work on its rated voltage
Close. 19v became around 13v when a 0.36A was plugged in. Considering these fans can handle beyond 12v and that you're probably going to be running the fan below 12v, it can be done.
it certainly can, its just not stable enough in my point of view
