I'm having a dilemma on which IT certification to acquire at the moment. I'm really fond of networking, and interested in cisco, but then there is oracle , microsoft and a bunch. i know they are mostly not related fields. but im seeking your opinion on which do you think is more career oriented? which are is more on demand? which do employers seek for the most?
thanks for any answers.

If you're worried about employment, I say go for Microsoft first, then Cicso and work the rest later.

Microsoft (infra) certs are always a plus, but should definitely not constitute your core skills, unless you go with something like Dynamics, SQL, etc...
VMWare, Cisco and Oracle are all valuable certifications with lots of career opportunities, but it really depends what you are looking for.
Depending on your time and budget, I would recommend picking a path and sticking with it.. Your knowledge should be very vertical, you want to become a reference in your field.
Having horizontal knowledge is good at first, you are a "jack of all trades", you know a bit of everything, but enough of nothing. You will lose your value really fast.

you can rarely find any cisco networks in lebanon . start with MCITP , HYPER-V and so on

Actually Tarek, there is a big demand for Cisco/VMWare/Oracle/etc Professionals in the country...
Microsoft Certifications are not very valuable compared to others, they are easy to get and everyone has them.. I'm not saying they are useless, they are a good plus to back your core certification...

Even with certifications, while not having a first hand experience, your salary will still be as a fresh graduate around here. So I suggest you find a job first, get to see what is it like, if you enjoy it, go for certification to enhance your knowledge.
