Necrostate While playing some games, a black screen suddenly appears, it takes me back to the desktop, then again, back to the game. After testing the GPU loading, I noticed that it was around zero outside the game, and it goes up to 98% during the game, then overloads when a certain action is taken. The temperature looks fine, I have a good cooling system. Temp around 40-45 degrees, goes up to 55 or 60 max during a game. I noticed the same problem happening sometimes when I'm not playing anything. I tried 3-4 different drivers so far, nothing seems to fix the problem. ------------------------ System Information ------------------------ Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.110622-1506) System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Gamer 1) is it under warranty, if so call tech support, (fear from being defective) 2) is the VGA you purchased recently or for some time and this is the first time it happens 3) recheck if your cables are secured properly and check your power supply, either UPS or ATX case. (did this problem happen during power surge or buildings generator.
Necrostate 1) It is under warranty. But I'll have to ship it to the states, which I'm trying to avoid. 2) The Laptop is 6-7 months old, it's been happening for a while. 3) It's a laptop. I don't think it's a power issue anyways, the GPU is obviously overloading, I'm getting the black screen once the load reaches 100%.
Beej Dont use the latest driver, revert back to previous driver that you where using and check again.
Gamer Some time!, Since the recent power fluctuation. in the office 2 laptops got damaged because of it and lost 3 Chargers
