Selling my Panasonic Camera DMC-FZ50
- Edited
Just an advice: DON'T get the Nikon D3100: That's the worst SLR camera I have ever use!
If you are willing to buy a Nikon, for a little more money you can get the Nikon D5100.
It rocks.
However if you want canon, I suggest you buy the Canon EOS 500D why?
First because it's almost the same quality as the 550D and the 600D and it's cheaper.
Secondly there is an offer on getforless and i guess in Beirut Duty Free: For 1000$ you can get the 500D with two lens the 18-55 and 75-300, that's the side by side review.

Thanks for your advices, scorz. I will take them in consideration.
But I think the 500D with these 2 lenses are a little too expensive for me.

I have the D3100. It has yet to develop "abnormalities".
Scors, can you please tell us why it is the worst?

Oh well we had a lot with problems with that camera...
At first the built-in flash stopped working, so we needed to brought an external one, secondly the image quality on low light condition was horrific: too much noise, even at very low iso (approx 400). Thirdly the LCD monitor was also bad. couldn't see anything on sunlight. And for some reason, I didn't knew yet why: When I used
"bulb" for shutter speed, the lens stalled!
So we ditched it and brought the D5100. And as I was told it is performing very good.
Well as I said that's the worst slr I have ever used, I am not talking about the whole series, maybe the one we had was damaged...

An SLR for 600$ on amazon won't be the best camera for sure.
