  • looking to trade a Samsung galaxy s2 with an Iphone 4.

I had this s2 for only 1 month, always been an apple user (i had an iphone 3g),want to go back home so to speak.

My s2 has no scratches at all,it is new basiclly,2 covers and a matte' anti-glare screen protector, all accessories and its box still unharmed, headphones are not even used yet, since i have Beats by dre.

Only for trade though, the iphone has to be factory unlocked and in great condition too.
Someone having a Samsung S2 goes back to Iphone4? That's like owning a toyota and going back to hyundai :P

Now that's a bad example.

If you were trying to praise the S2, use a better example than the toyota..

I might be interested in this trade. What's your offer, and the reason for this tradeoff?
I just didn't want to over exaggerate things :P. I own a Toyota Yaris and an S2, thus my comparison xD
Dude keep your sgs2 or you will regret alot!!
Flash a good MIUI v4 rom and you will have a brand new superb phone
dude get an iPhone 4 , its amazing. With iOS 5 and the notification system and iMessage and FaceTime, and the countless amount of applications that completely rock.

Im not biased, i just don't feel safe on android.

Interesting approach here. Can you please define "Safety" ?

What safety measures are you missing?
Enough!

One more time, here's yet another phone topic that got completely ruined by a flock of useless answers and high noise level! Do you realize how out-of-context all of your answers are?!

The OP did not ask about your opinion on the trade, he didn't even ask for your opinon on each phone. As a matter of facts, if this thread was about iphone vs SGS2, it would've been locked on the spot.

By acting this way, and by posting this kind of comments, not only have you ruined the thread by making it more difficult for the OP to get a relevant reply to his request, but you've also ruined the time of the staff members (this time it was me, but it might as well have been any other moderator) because we have to deal with crappy threads like this one.

As a result:

No more off-topic posts concerning phones will be tolerated. According to sections 4, 6 and 13 of the Etiquette, the infringing posts will be deleted and users will get a warning. If you don't know whether your post is allowed or not ask yourself this: "Am I adding useful and objective information to the topic at hand?" (absolutely none of the given answers do in this thread).

Why do we do this?

What's the problem with giving your opinion? Why do we try so hard to enforce the Etiquette? Why do we delete posts and lock topics?

The three of us in the staff are working on improving the quality of content of the Lebgeeks threads, the noise-to-signal ratio. If you know some physics, you're probably familiar with the expression. Wikipedia defines it like this: "Signal-to-noise ratio is sometimes used informally to refer to the ratio of useful information to false or irrelevant data in a conversation or exchange."

A low noise-to-signal is the number one characteristic that will attract experts and advanced users to our forum. Websites like xda-developers or StackOverflow (or any successful website, really) got notorious mainly by removing all the noise around their content. I would much rather attract phone experts than kids bragging about their favorite brands.

This is why we have moderators, this is why the Staff members check the website daily, this is why we have the Etiquette and we work hard to enforce it. We try to be flexible and not be too square, and most of the times we are, but the situation with the phone section is becoming alarming.

This is why I ask you all to make special efforts to avoid noise altogether, especially concerning phone topics.

@Devil'sAdvocate: I'm locking this thread, but feel free to open it again, this time there won't be off-topic answers.
