PS3 Slim problem

Dears,

Any other possible solutions to check?

My friend has a slim ps3 and after an electricity blackout something happened with his home electricity the PS3 turns on for like 5-8 seconds and shuts off with a blinking red light.

He dissembled it and used an electric blower to clean the dust inside it but unfortunately nothing happened it didn't work.

Went to NINO and referred us to Sony Service center...

He called SONY Service center (Fattal) and they said that he should bring it and pay 220$ to obtain a re-manufactured 1 PS3.

(He doesn't want to pay that much)

Any ideas? I don't know if its the YLOD or the PSU problem, but I have a small video of it for you to check out.

There is already a thread discussing a damaged PS3 , there is no need to open another one, you can just post this in that thread and people with help you and the person who posted the thread as well. Please help the moderators and us other users to keep the forum free of duplicated topics.
