Hello,my brother have a Siemens Fujitsu Esprimo Mobile v6505,it originally comes with Windows Vista, i reformatted it and installed Windows 7 enterprise, the reformat was smooth but since then i was unable to turn on wifi (using fn+F1 or using the switch in the front)i updated all the drivers using DriverScanner,Wifi still not working,i checked the BIOS to see if Wifi is disabled but it was enabled so i tried using the wifi switch inside the bios and the wifi turned on,so i restarted the laptop and wifi stayed on and i can normally connect to the router and surf the net,but i can't turn it off,i can only turn the wifi on/off inside the BIOS.so does anyone know why i can't control the wifi in Windows although i can normally connect and use internet ?
DriverScanner probably didn't update the proprietary driver specific to your laptop model's wifi. Windows is using generic drivers which come with it and is able to connect normally. You need to manually search for the driver. I will search for the driver now, and if I find it, I will post it here.
