building new gaming rig

alright well, i don't know what to trust on pcandparts.com, so i was hoping someone could guide me a bit.

parts in rig so far:

2*4gb corsair vengeance
128gb crucial ssd

to keep within budget i'm also going to be using my old soundcard and a 9800GTX gpu (planning on upgrading)

so here's where you guys can help me out a lot: what would be the best value-for-price mobo/case/psu from pcandparts.com (without sacrificing much performance for budget) (also open to other store suggestions)

and finally, if i have to choose between the i5-2500 and the i7-2600k, will i notice enough difference in gaming to justify the +100$? (of course putting into consideration oc of 2600k)

If you have specific needs, use the existing topics. Avoid create a new thread that will duplicate existing contents. Nobody likes that.
