Dear all,

Recently I've been having trouble with accessing the internet anywhere around the house, so I thought of buying an access point and connecting it to the main router via Ethernet cable and connecting the access point to a wireless router. The whole process worked at first but then suddenly, when the electricity went off, the connection to the internet wouldn't work when connected wireless-ly.

I tried all the possible known solutions, and didn't really get to a final fix.

When I tried the windows diagnosis, i came up onto this error: ***the connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken***

No other errors appeared.

However, when I connect my access point directly to the laptop via Ethernet Cable, I get access to the internet!

Thanks all in advance!
Why didn't you just use your Access point as a universal repeater ?
Because the router I have has a greater range that the access point I'm using, and with the Ethernet Cable (long enough) I can put my wireless router wherever I want and get internet all over the place!

Thank anyway. And I managed to work things out :D It was just some issue that was found in windows 7, I just had to reset the wireless router, unplug it, unplug the access point, then turn the access point back again, and then the router, and in the end connect the ethernet cable!
