HDTV for Christmas

My first HDTV,

After reading this article, here is a general idea of the specs i'll be looking for:

32" to 40"
60 or 120 Hz
720p (classic small living room setup with 3m viewing distance, no Bluray or gaming console)

Brands?? Sharp Aquos // not sure, ideally looking for a brand that manufactures it's own panels

If anyone has experience with prices/offers in the market today and where-to-buy, i would really appreciate the advice.

There is an offer at TSC Mega , a 32" LCD for 260$ , the brand name is something never heard from.
If you want a decent TV , get Samsung or Sony (Sony uses Samsung panels)
Of course you get what you pay for.

Go to Khoury Home Appliances first.
Tell him what category would you like .
Ask him to change the HD images to the dish ( LBC or any other).
Compare the two screens.
Get the one you like!

Since this topic is up, we're going to buy a HDTV, i was thinking of toshiba 32AV700, http://www.samikotob.com/detail.php?ID=156883 What do you think? and what is Auto Signal Booster?

i understand your needs are limited, as i can tell, but from what i understand aswell is that you have, a small living room which really calls for a smallest possible TV - not in " size

go the extra 150-200$ and you can pick up a nice 32" LED Samsung

that being said i also highly advise you just price shop around, check all the places, and write down exactly how much the TV costs that you have in mind.

try price matching them at stores

eg scenario:

Offer 1 at store a : 330$
Offer 2 at store b: 370$

same TV - get store b to price match or let him throw in a TV stand or something.
