Repairing an HDD 2.5

Hi guys,

I have an HDD 500gig 2.5 of a laptop and not working.

Is it repairable? do you know any one who can do this?

How bad is the hdd? Is it a hardware problem (as in the plates not turning?) If the system can detect it, then you might have a chance of repairing it via Spinrite 6. Spinrite 6 is used to recover data and heal hard drives: http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm
I use this in addition to Easytrack Recovery for data recovery. If you care about the Hard Drive alone, then I guess Spinrite 6 is enough.

I went to the website it is a payable software and i am not sure if it will work on the HDD or not.

i am looking just to repair the HDD and i'm not interested in the data actually..
