Joe What is the best way to package and deliver a Python program? The application I'm working on consists of: - 2 python files - 2 ksh shell scripts - 1 CSV file - 1 INI file I want to write a script that will cp the appropriate files in a particular arborescence, then tar/gzip it to a directory outside my Source Control. What I'm trying to do is create something similar to Makefiles or Ant build.xml scripts. What is the most pythonic way to proceed?
Joe errrr... I'm not sure I understand correctly. What are you suggesting I use ConfigParser for? I finished coding my application. Now I'm looking for a way to package it and deliver it to the users. Something that would be the equivalent of Java's Ant. But for python. Since my app is so small, I could write the script myself. But I'm wondering how do pythonistas usually proceed.
