Ogero - New modem help

So this morning lightning struck and my computer restarted.
I also heard a "clicking" sound as lightning struck.
I checked my modem and it was restarting as well.

Computer restarted successfully. Modem however was stuck on 1st led (the power led) that was orange (it should be green).
I tried to fix the modem but everyone said it's not worth it or it cannot be fixed. So I headed to Libanpost in Antelias and got myself a new modem.

The old modem was Thomson TG585v7 (wireless) the new modem is Thomson TG585v8 (wireless). Just a minor version difference.

I tried restoring the "config" file previously backed up on the old modem to the new modem... I still couldn't get the new modem to authenticate successfully (last led to turn green).
I manually entered/configured the parameters (that I found in the config.ini file) still couldn't authenticate.

So I plugged the old modem and to my surprise it worked. Which leads me to think the old modem adaptor was the damaged part (as the old modem is working with the new adaptor now).

My questions:
- Is there any way to get a new adaptor alone ? Can I get any generic adaptor or do I have to stick to Thomson custom made ones ?
- How can I get the new modem working without going to Ogero in Beirut ? I have the username and password to access my modem as Admin.

Take the old adapter and take it to Bujukian or Baltaian (In Dora) They'll give you a generic adapter having the same voltage which will work.(I have done this with my schools scanner and they have been using it for years.)

Thanks. Any idea how much this normally costs ?
The modem adaptor has an output of 22V, 818mA.
Hope they have those specs at Boujikian.

It wouldn't cost more then 7$,and the amp doesn't matter if it's stronger, just keep an eye on the voltage

Thanks. The guy next to my house asked 20USD for the adaptor lol... I didn't get it ofc... the entire modem cost me 68,ooo L.L.
Now I have a backup modem heh.
