  • Galaxy S2 Blue Tint/Hue

I got myself a Samsung Galaxy S2 and i must say it's an awesome phone but i noticed something wrong with the display. Whenever i look at the galaxy screen from any angle other than direct looking, the screen seems kind of blue, the more i change change the position of the phone, the more the blue hue gets stronger.

Anyone had this issue before ? and is there any possible solution ? I really googled a lot but didn't find a solution.
I see what you mean. I guess this is a characteristic of the Super AMOLED Plus technology used for their display.

As far as I see it, the hue is at its strongest on low brightness settings. Set your brightness to max, I think you'll barely notice it still.
That's from the gorilla glass in front of the AMOLED display.
it is not really a problem, i mean the hue is barely their.

Barely ? It's kind of bit high.... I tried my friend Galaxy S2, His phone blue hue is "barely Visible", mine is kind of high, the moment i tilt my device a bit, i see almost a strong blue hue.
yes that's normal on amoled screens, the viewing angles are not the same as when looking directly at it
I just tried on mine, I had to focus really well to see the hue shift. (I keep mine on lowest brightness)

Try going into Settings > Display > Background Effect and choose "Standard." Not sure if this will make a difference, but that's the only display setting I remember changing.
On mine the hue appears the most when I set the background to strong white colors, and least when using a vivid color like red or orange.

But I have to admit, even at its worst, the hue is not bothering me.
I have the same problem. At 90 degrees angle white is white regardless of brightness. At 80 or less degrees white is green/blue regardless of brightness. For me, it is big issue. I have returned the phone today.

Test screen should have always the same brightness, regardless of ambient light - Could anybody check this?
That is just from the AMOLED screen.
It's like looking at your LCD screen at different angles.
The SII has a low quality display panel I guess.
