Hey guys i've been trying to create a hackintosh (PC running Mac OS) for some time now without any success

the two methods i've tried was tonymac's iboot CD as well as his unibeast software but both never entered the installation phase which i think is due to the lack of access to advanced bios settings. The reason for the latter being that i'm using branded laptops that have a modified (dumbed down) version of the phoenix bios

the second method is through software like iAtkos and iPC however... with this method i enter installation however when i choose to erase and reformat the hard disk it always gets stuck on "unmounting disk" and that has happened on three seperate laptopns and i have no idea how to proceed further

anyone had any luck with this ?
I read through the steps you did however I tried the iAtkos cd on a new laptop and it worked perfectly and there was no need for me to install windows. Now I'm looking for kexts for Ethernet and wireless ( the only two things that remain non functional)

Did you have any driver problems with your hackintosh ?

Yup, I had issues with the Wireless kext. But then I resolved it after I connected via Ethernet which allowed me to update the kext.
