i think its not worth paying 600$ more just to get a 10 to 20fps gain in gaming, 2600k is still the best!
i still want to see the 4 core one (not released yet)
but i have to agree, that processor is a MONSTER! (also overkill)

Its not worth it for gaming too, you see it only makes a difference (and a small one) when res is 1680x1050. It does however increase the min FPS in most games (still by 1-5fps max).

Even the 4 core isnt worth it for the price of the entire platform. The cheapest board is 250-300$. Factor lebanons cost of upping the prices about 1.4-1.5. You will pay 500$ for a board only. Best cpus are stil the 2500k and 2600k.
