bluewolf wrotei actually back up the girl ^_^, games are becoming way to addictive and too much time consuming that it is effecting our daily lives in functioning normally...
this is a time were all people care about is making more money, without thinking about the effect of their product on the individuals...
It's business isn't it? Are they jacking up prices and forcing you to buy it? It's your choice to buy it or not, and it's your choice to choose when to play or not. I got Skyrim on release, and just to try it out, I installed it, and played a bit with my friend.
He studies A LOT, and I mean, A LOT, and he played it a lot. I study much less, even waste time (I'm trying to improve on that aspect), and I decided that it would be wiser to leave it to the weekends, or a big vacation, where I have free time (if any), and even then, I'm not gonna spend a whole day just playing it, no matter how addictive it is. I used to play Oblivion, when I had little free time, I used to play for maybe 15 minutes, but when I had a lot of free time (and NOT at the expense of my socializing), I played for extended periods of time, I wasn't high on Oblivion though.
It's a matter of preference really.
EDIT: Also, it's nice to have that FPS where you can play for 5-10min (CoD), or play a bit more, extended strategic matches (BF3), or that RPG that lasts a good while (Skyrim, Oblivion, etc...). In my free time, in the weekdays, I just play a bit of BF3. No big deal.
