  • Any Cowon dealer in Lebanon?

I am sick of bad sound quality of ipod, muted max volume of Sony mp3 players, and bad quality of samsung players (I have a P3 with defect in screen)
I want the best ever mp3 player aka Cowon J3 but I can't find a retail store in Lebanon!
If I buy from internet the cheapest way is from B&H NYC:
175$ the J3
45$ DHL
+ 20% customs on total
Which will end up with 275$ though it's still less expensive than a ipod touch 8gb!

So do you anyone selling Cowon in Lebanon?
I suggest yOu go for cOby or philipps, i Have both of them and they are nOthing below amazing
@khalil13: Cowon, Creative, and the such are unmatched in terms of audio quality. They can drive earphones / headphones with high impedance, with good volume. The Creative MP3 players have the volume limiter, but it can be removed by updating it to US firmware (last time I checked). My Creative Zen has been nothing but a hassle for me. It dies easily, without warning, and its battery is sealed. Sent it once for repair in US, used it for 1 year, then BAM same issue. It's dead now. Using Nokia E5 for sound output. It's great sound, and it can drive Sennheiser HD485's easily.

@Vegetaleb: Do you have good earphones / headphones that are worthy of such an MP3 player? Because if you don't, you will be wasting its potential greatly.
I suggest you look for a headphone (not earphones, it may work better) amplifier, but they're more useful if you use bass supporting headphones. It can balance the treble and bass at the same time without affecting the peak, unlike using the equalizer (mobile, mp3 software), even though it doesn't support this, at least it qualifies it...

(I also had the same problem, I own a Walkman mobile, W715, modified its sound configuration for a superior quality nearer to Audiophile... take a look: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=188767 much better)

The headphone amp. : http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E5-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B001P9EQH8 (I don't think you can find this here)

That's why your option is preferable, i think Cowon mp3 player includes the pre-amp feature. (Also Sony)
I have Philips 9800 in-ear which are mid-range intras, they costed me 65$!!
Pros said it's better than sennheiser CX 300II because soundstage is wider and bass is more natural!
I am not a fan of buying trendy Beats or Bose earphones, paying 150$ for a pair of earphoes that you throw in the garbage a couple of months because the cable is loose...
I listen to Trance and Rock so I don't need extra power (amp) but just the most detailed crystal clear sound, my samsung P3 used to give me a very nice QS but its screen is half died!!
The Samsung R0 and R1 are relatively cheap but their battery is catastrophic
I found out a samsung model that is supposed to replace the P3 though a little old (end 2010) already: the M1
Pcandparts and M2 (multimedia megastore) have only R0,R1 (which have bad battery) and my old good P3, no trace of M1.
Cowon just released the iaudio10 in Korea it has less stuff than J3 (SD,BT) but it's 50$ cheaper...
Sorry to be off topic, what kind of music do you listen to? e.g: 80's. There isn't clearer quality yet...
I listen to Trance,PsyTrance,rock,metal...
Forbidden to enter my ears: arabic, rap and rnb
