I use Pay as you go from Alfa
each MB = 0.5$
they didn't have any settings for Android so I created my own APN
and used the following settings
APN : internet.mic1.com.lb
Proxy : internet.mic1.com.lb
User : mic1
Pass : mic1
Server :internet.mic1.com.lb
Authentication type : PAP or CHAP.
I can't use the service if I don't enable Packet data and Data roaming
when I enable these two on the top of my screen I get the EDGE icon
and see that it's constantly uploading and downloading even if I have no apps open
so my problem is :
-It won't shut off automatically
-It's constantly in use
-I lost 8$ in one night
any idea's how to solve it ?
Download Droidwall from the Android Market and configure it by allowing everything (all applications) on wifi and only select what you need to be working on 3G. Apply rules. Voila
What do you expect? These phones are data hungry.. 16 Mb is nothing.. Blame the low quota and high prices..
You have to control your consumption. Disable 3G when you don't need it..

My phone isn't Rooted
hmmm, i think you have chosen a shitty offer.

You are correct!
But if you look carefully ALL internet subscriptions are truly SHITTY
thoughas someone else pointed out, it is much better to get the lowest package and exceed it rather than getting pay as you go.

It's very similar to Onavo , but has more features and more user friendly
