Following what we did for BF3, I have created this dedicated thread to avoid flooding the rest of the forum with the dozens of questions everyone has about CoD MW3. From now on, please use this topic instead of creating a new one.

Update:

Phoned "shadi" of Najjar stores - he has it and is selling for 80$ - sent me a message, its now 75$ ( im not sure if this applies to everyone or just people who called and asked and did not like the price - i.e. me)

Phoned Nino - He will have it by Wednesday for the standard price of any game

Gamesland - He has had the game since saturday night if im not mistaken - by then it was for 90$ , i check on sunday and he wanted 100$ - so yeah definitely not

Nets DVD - no idea where this place is - a friend of mine told me he is selling it for 85$ so i didn't bother asking where exactly he is

All in all, patience is virtue - so Wednesday it is :P

That being said, there is a lot of gameplay already on youtube, i wont link for the sake of not spoiling the game, and i actually did play it at my neighbours and all i can really say is that its a refined version of MW2 - nothing more nothing less

Weapons have more recoil, gun sounds are somewhat better, the maps are OK, than again i only played on 2, less annoying things flashing on the screen, they all happen toward the corners (as in when you unlock something you don't get that annoying green text in the middle of the screen) - other than that its the usual CoD.
Hoping virgin will get the PC version just like Black ops last year.
PCandParts listed MW3 CD-Key only, for 58$ (TVA included).
Isn't COD MW3 a new game engine ?
They're saying that it's the same engine as MW1
But there is a MASSIVE difference and in Wikipedia it says MW3 engine (IW5)

Technically speaking it's using the same engine (id Tech 3) as the first Call of Duty from 2003. So no, there's no 'massive' difference unless your eyes are playing tricks on you. In fact, some are saying it looks worse than CoD4, that wouldn't surprise me considering the talented founders of Infinity Ward have left the team. They're known as Respawn now in, yes - Electronic Arts.

nothing to miss.. Virgin Megastore already had the game for sale since Saturday(Ps3), Today in the afternoon I was there, there are stockpiles of the game, and no there are no crazy crowds buying the game lol

MW3 on PC is 100,000L.L and on PS3 is $80

The funny part is.. I went there to buy BF3, I ask a worker "excuse me but where is Battlefield 3 for PC?", his answer "All Sold out", my face at that moment " =| "


The story as to how they selling it before the release date? easy, The game copies were shipped out early, but Activision was expecting all retail stores to comply with the date, but off-course we being Lebanese we like to have things our way ;P

BF3 for PC is sold out ? They haven't even put the PC version on shelves! (unless they got like one copy :S)
The employee probably has no clue what is BF3 PC.
