A month old XFX Pro750W CE won't start, I was playing a game then suddenly my PC turned off, tried to power it up again no luck, all I can hear is a brief buzz coming from the PSU.
Changed the power cord, disconnected everything, plugged it in another PC/MOBO but this thing won't start.

Back to my old pc for the moment..again!
UGH, come on!
i shelled out the extra money and went for a toughpower .. it claims a 7 year warrenty which i suppose means something

sorry to hear about that. can't you send it back or something ?
A month old? Fine then, still under warranty. You have the right to get a new one.
you should plug any pc to a ups if you dont have one
unplug everything and take it out
let it sit for a day and try again
if the same problem occurs you have the right to send it to warranty
I've sent it to PC and Parts today, don't know what they're planning to do. This is actually a Seasonic how could it fail like that?

I already have a UPS.
Nevertheless, hope everything turns out well.
True, XFX/Seasonic ... it still doesn't mean the manufacturer doesn't do any mistakes

Although HIGHLY unlikely, you just HAPPENED to pick up a defective one; it happens rarely.

You should be very carefull with PCandParts warranty because when i first purchased my PSU the fan didn't turn, I sent it to them they told me it was OK with no problem and that they "tested" for 24h.They charged me for the shipping and when i got it back the box was all ruined and as I looked at the PSU i saw that the screws were taken apart and some accessories weren't sent back.
So be careful.
@AvoK95:
what the heck?!

wish me luck.. wish me luck!
hahahaha, im sorry to tell you that if they see burnt spots in the psu, they're gonna blame you for it, they're gonna say it is your electricity, you got high voltage, or they're gonna say its a lightning struck, warranty doesn't apply to those :P
if they do,be sure to make excuses, tell them you have several power protections over the house, a fuse box, voltage regulator etc...
@ Shant:

No way! it's been 4 days now, imagine how much satisfied am going to be when they send me an e-mail stating that! lol

Hi avo
what was your psu brand name ? does it still have the same behavior as befoe you sent it ?
no way they could have opened the screws as this will void their warranty also
My PSU is in my signature
no it doesn't have that problem anymore
and LOL about voiding warranty
you think that PCandParts has good warranty ?? they fix their own stuff and call it "warranty"
the box that I got back was my box but they has a sticker on it which seemed to ruin it
the screws on the PSU are noticeable that they have been taken out
i argued with them a lot but they didn't seem to accept it so I ignored it
Ahhh yesss, pcandparts... If you only know what i know :P you will be shocked.

Still they are 2nd inline for the "better" pc parts in lebanon.

And what is the first, and foremost ;)?

Hi Avo

My dad have been dealing with them for more than 10 years now, most of our office computers are from them, never heard and had such issues, will relay your problem to them anyway

btw we have the same psu in one of our workstation and the fan is not always on, i thought it was bad, called them and they told me to wait and see, turned out that fan turns on when needed , not all the time
they said that to me too, it's complete rubbish because my PSU was getting REALLY HOT and from the heat there was a certain smell and the fan still wouldn't turn , i tried to manually turn it but it still didn't work
when i RMA-d it they stick to what they said and charged me for the shipping
ever since i got it back the fan never stops and the PSU is cool now
They sent me an email yesterday, and today I got a new one! all good, I can start this machina again!
