  • WhatsApp not connecting after wifi loss

Hey,

I was just given a Blackberry Bold, I did not activate the BB service. I'm using it over wifi.
I'm having an issue when I use it. When I first used it it worked fine. After loosing wifi connectivity I couldn't connect to what'sapp anymore.

Any idea?
so you lost wifi and when you tried reconnecting to wifi the whatsapp didn't work or you didn't reconnect at all?
Because for case #1 I think the service books that tell the RIM servers that your phone is part of the network get erased every time you restart, so every time you restart your phone your phone has to get those service books, maybe they are missing now.

Case #2, well it tends to be more straight forward :P

Edit: here is a solution http://www.uniquestuff.net/how_to_make_whatsapp_for_blackberry_works_on_wifi_without_bis.html
Let me explain the situation again,
When I used What'sApp for the first time through wifi it worked fine.
After I left the wifi zone, & came back again, I tried using What'sApp and it did not work.
I had to remove my battery so the phone would do a hard reset so it would work again.
It's a really annoying thing.

I tried this solution before posting here on the forum and it didn't work.
Thanks anyway Babum for your reply.
