Hey All
As most of you know iOS 5 is less than a week away and it will be available for iPhone 3GS - 4 - 4S and a bunch of other iPods and iPads. It also comes with over 200 new features may they be touching photography or other sides of the OS itself. I own an iPhone 4 myself with iOS 4.2.1 on it and with the 2.10.04 baseband. My unlock relies on a GEVEY SIM interposer this is why I didn't risk updating my iPhone to iOS 4.3 or higher.
I also heard that not only iOS 5 is near but that it's GoldMaster is seeded to developers and that we can get our hands on it without having to have a dev account at apple's since you don't need to register your device anymore. My main question would be: Is there any way for me to update my iPhone to iOS 5 GM without losing my unlock (GEVEY)? If Yes, what do I have to do?
Thank You All For Your Help.
Zef
I've been running iOS 5 betas for some time and installed the GM when it came out. It's great to have the new features, but it's not worth risking loosing your unlock if you're not sure about it.
My advice would be to wait a couple weeks until there is more info about unlocking in iOS 5. The official release is only a week away so don't get too impatient and do anything rash :)

Thank You Zef!
Well I think I'll wait then and I'll just update using sn0wbreze, just to keep my baseband intact in order to unlock it without having to wait for another unlock.
If anyone has tried the iOS 5 GM & GEVEY mix please let us know :D
