Hello everyone,

I'm looking for anyone who's interested in this game, we will start a lebanese server once that game is on, if you think you got the skills and willing to help/donate pm me or reply here with "add me or im in".

Thanks.
The problem is latency. Wise has its own MW2 servers and manages to minimize latency due to it being connected to the lebanese network. To manage this on a plain level, especially in lebanon, is tricky and difficullt. Not to mention that our upload speeds, even with the new plans, won't be that great.
We've tested alot of servers (alot..) the only country that has the lowest ping in the whole world for lebanon is Germany, for wise servers they are great i must say so BUT when others play on those servers they all complain for lag too, simply you cannot make a server in lebanon to play with other nations cause lebanese servers are near impossible, triple that with new games like mw3 or bf3 (they need powerfull servers and good connection for 64 players online).

With my experience lebanese gamers are not the best gamers in the whole world, im pointing out two things and the list goes on, our main reason of this server is to gather lebanese gamers not only coming from lebanon in the whole world too and by that we will meet many players interested in helping us, im giving priorities here before we meet those gamers interested in battling us clan wars you call it.

Wanna help we are pleased to point you how.
I think that this is a good starting point, & for 48$/month I think it is an amazing deal that you found.
I guess you know that I'm already in.
& with the new Connection, I guess it will be better.
I already contacted you.
we must be the best players in the world, we play in lag!
A server in Germany...are latencies below 100ms? Or am I asking for too much? I guess however you take it, the problem lies with us...and yes ofc people who connect to Wise servers from outside Lebanon will complain about the lag...now Shatilov is talking about a deal you found? If it can work out, I'M ALL IN! Count me in already. But please share more details with us.
Ok I just want to clear things up, Foreign players dont lag in the WISE servers, it depends, some players from far countries have higher pings like USA, Canada, Argentina, Russian Federation ... those players have pings like 200-300 ms and yes they complain from lag, but others from European countries, more specifically Germany, UK, Bulgaria, Belgium and some parts of France have pings as low 90-120 ms (stable), if you dont beleive you can join any of our 5 COD6 servers and check the players latencies.
Now concerning BF3, EA games was talking about dedicated servers support with up to 64 players, if they really do it the way they did it with BF2 and they release the SERVER FILES for the public we will host a BF3 server for Lebanese players where you can get pings as low as 30 ms if your DSL connection is good, and you people dont have to worry about Hardware, dedicated hosting, maintenance, availability, uptime ... it will be better than hosting a BF3 server from home or in a foreign country like Germany where the best ping you can get is 100 ms.
Now there is some challenges, first of all the internet connection must improve in Lebanon Starting october 1st, so that the players have a decent lag-free gameplay (it looks like the issue is on the right track).
Next challenge of course the server will be for those who own a legit copy of the game, it will be hard and for sure will take months to find a way to play the game with a pirated copy, so players must have a legit copy and we must have like 50 Lebanese players at least to have a populated server over different time of the day, no one wants an empty BF3 server or Lebanese server fully populated with foreign players.
Last challenge hopefully EA will release the SERVER FILES to public, because with Battlefield bad comapny 2 only certified game servers hosting companies were able to host BFBC2 servers and to have your own server you must rent it from them, even after the BFBC2 server files were leaked, EA made a white list of IPs that can connect to their master servers and made the leaked files useless !!! so I really hope this wont be the case with BF3, orelse your only hope is to rent a dedi server in a foreign country like Germany or UK.
useless if server files aren't leaked - and made useful

we'd still have "bad" latency since we'd have to rent some random EU server i.e. all we will benefit is have some admins

As for latency, same thing

More or less Transporter has said everything here :P

MrClass wrotewe must be the best players in the world, we play in lag!
I must admit, this at a certain level made me much better at FPS games - sometimes it feels wrong when i don't have lag :P

Unfortunately this is the case, you can't host a ranked bf3 server without becoming an EA certified host dont believe.. search the net, more importantly about the latency this is not true i have invited some players on cod4 server they were playing over 200ms+ (german players) and they were complaining about lag, maybe its a special case.

Note: dont try to compete with eu servers, they are not behind a 2mbps network (until now).

Vice versa, when our internet become better that doesnt mean that we have the opportunity to host more servers , it will facilitate our connectivity to real servers.

Actually i play on wise servers, i dont complain about everything and if you guys could host a bf3 im more than happy, but that doesnt change my intention of opening this topic!
Ah its you Jazzar (SOldier) I was wondering who is TheStunMan :P anyway sadly you are right after a quick search it seems that BF3 is on the same path as BFBC2 (I still hope not).
Guys, you both have great points. As always the problem lies with us. Hosting a lebanese BF3 server is not assured to give us optimum results yet if it does work it could be awesome, but if we host a german server it's a usually better option yet we will get lag compared to if the host was running in Lebanon.

Now I was thinking, where is Shatilov? I mean we're definitely not only a few guys who want to order BF3 originals, not if the latencies improve and we open a server. We'd have a good quantity to order!

Thats why this is a test server and we need some testers if the server has a future yes or no, heres a test (not to the server but to the city where it will be hosted)
these results seems to be good, now all we need is to test it.

Electronic Arts wants Battlefield 3 combat-tested before the military first-person shooter hits stores October 25. To that end, the publisher today announced that an open beta test for the game's multiplayer mode will kick off September 29 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions of the game.

Consider it a trial by suppressing fire.

However, some players will be able to download the beta a little early. Those who preorder the PC edition of the game through EA's digital storefront Origin will be able to get into the action beginning September 27, as will those who preordered the Limited Edition of EA's 2010 military shooter, Medal of Honor.

Players will be able to play the game's Rush mode on the Operation Metro map, set in the subways of Paris. The Rush mode has two teams fighting over key strategic points on the map, with one squad designated as attackers and the other ordered to protect the locations.

Battlefield 3--which EA says has been in development for three years--will sport both a single-player campaign and an online component, which can be played with up to 64 players (for the PC version only). It will also support co-op play for its campaign and will let gamers pilot jets, among other vehicles.

EA has indicated that the beta will end October 10
@ILIA_93 The Beta will OFFICIALLY be on 29th for all gamers on all platforms, on 26th for Origin pre-orderers and ones who has the MOH LE/ Tier 1 Edition...

Those who are gonna be playing the Beta on PC, add me on your Origin, my ID is in the signature...
