im thinking of buying starcraft 2 but im confused which region to get? i know that EU has the best latency, but are people going to talk french on there? or english ?

the problem is i don't know french, im english educated, and if they talk french there, id be screwed :\

I guess that most of them will talk in English, since it is the most dominant language.
If you still feel bothered about this, you can get the US version, & then play with US people all the time, & with the new DSL coming soon, the Ping won't be of much of a problem.
I'd still say, if you get the EU/US version, the game will be fun, & language wont be a problem.

are you certain i will get good pings in the US??
I don't think you should worry about this. Get the EU version and enjoy it, people mostly talk English based on my experience.
Plus don't forget the difference it timezones if you get US version (less players at our time)

I have the original eu version bought from virgin megastore. Only played practice league. I could sell if you want. Not really sure if i'd have to give up my email address in case you buy. Pm me if your interested.

Get the EU version; they all talk English there. No one talks French there. Europe is a multilingual continent; believe me French is the last of your concerns. As for the trade djunited can change his battle.net email address (make a new one and change to it) then he can give it to you; this way he won't loose his email address to you.
On a side note; it is well known that EU has much better ladder than the NA so you'll get better opponents there as well.
