Word. Also because I'm planning (hopefully) to visit the country in the near future, but still it's one of the hardest languages to master aside from memorizing the basic characters (hiragana, katakana).

Other languages I'm interested in learning are Swedish, Dutch, German, Spanish. Reason? Just for the hell of it.
Russian..because i'll propably move there in 3 years (uni)
I have the same opinion as AvoK95, I really like to learn the Chinese language, first of all since I think that it is one of the most spoken languages in the world, also all the manuals and products nowadays come in Chinese !
Chinese is actually not difficult to learn. My social elective course in university was Chinese 201. It is a bit easy to speak, but hard to write. We wrote Chinese in PinYin form (Chinese in english characters). An interesting language indeed.
It all depends on the next girl you fall in love with.

You have Mandarin chinese , Wu chinese, Yue chinese , Min chinese, Xan chinese, Hakka chinese, Gan chinese...
1.3 Billion speak Mandarin , whereas 90 million speak Wu etc etc...
