I never use chrome for browsing, only for uploading and watching youtube vids.

Chrome is the fastest in terms of rendering, but it uses more resources compared to the others.

Got a fast PC? Use Latest Firefox
Got a good PC? Use Firefox 3.6.x
Got a normal PC? Use Chrome
Got a slow PC? Use Safari
FYI, Chrome uses the same engine as Safari... IMO, Chrome is a rebranded Safari Core with a few extra stuff like Chrome Store

EDIT: Firefox is becoming worse, with 3.5, they got a huge memory leak that still isnt fixed then in firefox 4 they introduced a stupid UI, I am currently using Chrome with Firefox 6

Chrome is the most responsive but also the most memory-hungry.

Internet Explorer 6 owns all!
On a serious note, Opera is pretty underrated, I have all browsers installed and Opera is the fastest among them all. For the obvious extension/add-on reason, I still use Firefox the most. And Chrome is nothing but a spyware, that's why I stopped using it since a while.

Firefox still lacks some basic out-of-box features like Most Visited New Tab Page. Also, Firefox Add-Ons Gallery is poor compared to Chrome, and Add-ons became a total mess when Mozilla decided to follow a rapid release cycle, most add-ons becomes not compatible after updating Firefox. But it is fast.
Safari is an elegant browser, but the current version, 5.1, consumes A LOT of memory, especially on a Mac.
Opera has improved a lot, but there is still a kind of a delay when going to a new page, and some websites look different.
Chrome is the FASTEST, decent Extension Gallery offers more than you need from a browser.
I try all the latest versions. On Mac OS, Firefox and Safari are 64-bit apps, while Chrome and Opera are still 32-bit.
Firefox and Opera are processed as a single app, while Safari is divided into 3 processes, and Chrome processes each extension a lot, thats why it is faster, but consumes more memory.
