Hacks focused on Ogero's D-Link DSL-2640U
I
So you have a D-Link DSL-2640U that you got with Ogero and when you try to login with User:User, you get a blank page?
Here is the hack:
I)
Start Telnet:
1) Press the "Windows" button and the button 'R' at the same time
2) Type in telnet [router-ip-here]
Note: If you get an error about telnet not being found, please enable it, there are countless guides on the internet.
II)
Login To Router
1) It should ask for the login, type in "user"
2) It should then ask for the password, type in "user"
III)
Get Administrator Access to the Router
1) Type in "passwd admin hacked"
III-b)
Other Goodies
1) Type in "dumpcfg" to get the PPPoE user/password, the password is Base64 Encrypted, it is extremely easy to decrypt it online
2) Type in "ping google.com" to ping directly from the router!
IV)
Login to the Web-Interface
1) Open your favorite web-browser, access your router web-interface(192.168.1.1 is the usual address)
2) Login with "admin" as the username and "hacked" as the password
3) Enjoy!
II
So all of you are able to get the password of Thomson routers by calculating the key, but can't get the D-Link router key?
Here is the hack:
I)
Downloading a MAC-Finding program
1) Get it here:
http://tinyurl.com/3bms69k
II)
Connect to the router
1) For the sake of the tutorial, lets say the MAC-Address that we find is (00:11:22:33:44:AA:BB)
2) The password would be "D0011223344AABB"
III
Don't have access to the Web-Interface? Need to update router firmware?
Here is the hack:
I)
Get FileZilla FTP Program
1) Download it here:
http://filezilla-project.org/
2) Install it
II)
Connect to the router via FileZilla
1) Connect to the router, the host is usually "192.168.1.1", the user is "user" and password is "user"
2) Get the Firmware files from the D-Link website
3) Upload the firmware file
4) Disconnect
5) Wait 10 minutes
6) Firmware Updated
IV
All the other extra things you can do...
1) Restore Default Settings: You can't restore default settings manually from the router because Ogero blocked the "reset" button, here is how to do it virtually, follow Section I to login to the router via telnet, after you did that, simply type "restoredefault" and wait!
