I asked about it, they said FUP only applies to unlimited plans.hishjwnz wroteI think they will start fupping their customers really hard.FadZ wroteI'll stay with Sodetel this month to test my speed and overall usage.
I called their sales dpt and they said unlimited nights are unmaintainable with amount of GB's now being offered, I don't know how other ISP's would do it.

I dont know!kfc wroteare you with ogero or GDS?sailor wroteNew ADSL plans as of August 1st, 2017. Your current plan is 4M-50G-$33. Your NEW plan will be OpenSpeed-120GB-$33. For details https://customers.idm.net.lb
Just got this sms from idm, my current plan expire today
But what if i need the open speed 50 GB ?
Im idm user since 2013
When i called the tech support guy he told me (that i'm on Ogero). So you can call and ask. Another way to find out is to look in your router configuration for the VPI/VCI ratio. Ogero: 0/35 GDS: 8/35sailor wroteI dont know!kfc wroteare you with ogero or GDS?sailor wroteNew ADSL plans as of August 1st, 2017. Your current plan is 4M-50G-$33. Guys check Sodetel website
the plans have been revealed !!!
the plans have been revealed !!!
Sodetel have no unlimited nights anymore, not even a paid option.
I suggest that every subscriber with Sodetel calls and express his mind about the issue, maybe they introduce a paid option. I already did my part.
With their plan that are now exactly the same as ogero, I will definitely be switching ASAP. Ogero have a better more reliable service + I will be paying one bill per month instead of a separate phone and internet bill. IDM is also an option if I dont see negative feedback about their unlimited night service.
Furthermore, nothing has yet changed if you want to switch from one ISP to another, or at least they have no clue about that. (Maybe not the case with ogero but it still is with IDM for example)
The only real possibility is to get a second internet line , subscribe to an internet plan on that line and cut off the old plan as soon as I receive the new one so that's probably what I'm gonna do.
In all cases, while this upgrade is definitely a step in the right direction, it is mostly a campaign that benefits a select few, like people that are close enough to their CO or solidere residents.
On the ground, I believe most people will still be stuck with speeds ranging between 1Mbps and 4Mbps, only to see their unlimited night traffic being taken away by some providers.
I'm hopeful though that steps are being taken to deploy active cabinet very fast.

I did a small Facebook backlash investigation regarding this and I found the following:Jhony wroteSodetel have no unlimited nights anymore, not even a paid option.

From Sodetel Facebook page comments on latest picture:
Someone called Nadine moussa commented:
Nadine Moussa Theyr removing the unlimited free traffic!! Really im so angry now i recently just switched from ogero to sodetel bi hal balad bi zabto she men mayle w men mayle tenye byederbok. And i switched to sodetel because of the unlimited night traffic!!
After that someone called Omar Al Gizi commented:
Nadine Moussa wait and u will see :)
Checking Omar's profile --> Works at Technical support at Sodetel SAL
So I think (hopefully) they will be adding a ultimate night payed option soon.
So who saw a better SNR Margin while on OS these last days?
I am still at 10ish, I am starting to think Ogero/Cyberia are doing this on purpose so that you reduce your speed from OS to 6 or 8mb/s to get a better stability, weirdly enough even if my SNR margin is still the same, random modem reboots can disappear totally for hours and return like every 5 minutes at certain hours.
Perhaps not all Ogero centrals are ready for the new plans and Mr Kreidieh doesn't want to reckon it

Confirmed by Sodetel that unlimited night will be coming in September

Still don't know how but my SNR margin on download has increased from 9.5-13.5 range to 19-21.5 range since these past few days. I hope this means when my upgrade from 2mbit/s to 4mbit/s activates, my SNR margin won't ever drop below 8 when I'm on 4mbit/s.

I hope it will change here too
SNR margin depends on the current synced speed , when you sync to a higher speed the margin will drop.Raficoo wroteStill don't know how but my SNR margin on download has increased from 9.5-13.5 range to 19-21.5 range since these past few days. Think of it as ( how much noise -margin- can be added to my current speed and still be able to function).
To monitor your line noise look at -> Line Attenuation(dB) or Noise (dB) or SNR
My sync speed is fixed at 4 mbps but SN is always fluctuating between 21 and 25. how to explain it?nefe_lpmk wroteSNR margin depends on the current synced speed , when you sync to a higher speed the margin will drop.Raficoo wroteStill don't know how but my SNR margin on download has increased from 9.5-13.5 range to 19-21.5 range since these past few days. Line attenuation is very good but snr margin very weak no?
Many factors can affect this, To name a few; generator is on, other machinery turn on ,someone picks up a phone in your house , bad filter.kfc wroteMy sync speed is fixed at 4 mbps but SN is always fluctuating between 21 and 25. how to explain it?nefe_lpmk wroteSNR margin depends on the current synced speed , when you sync to a higher speed the margin will drop.Raficoo wroteStill don't know how but my SNR margin on download has increased from 9.5-13.5 range to 19-21.5 range since these past few days. Guys the ADSL2+ max rate on the VDSL2 modem is less than that with the ADSL2+ modem
If you have open speed then it is very normal if you have 2 -6mb then it is very badinfiniteloop wroteSNR Marginnefe_lpmk wroteSNR margin depends on the current synced speed , when you sync to a higher speed the margin will drop.Raficoo wroteStill don't know how but my SNR margin on download has increased from 9.5-13.5 range to 19-21.5 range since these past few days. Actually today random reboots are quite rare, a sign that ogero is starting to fix the problem
