edit:its probably billing calculations or something

one thing I hope they fix is the quota-update.. when you pass your limit(4GB) it doesn't show you the amount to be paid until you pass the download or upload graph by 100%
...also the fact that if even if you continue to use the internet after the limit by 1mb and they charge you is quite silly >_>
for instance, if you downloaded total 4.99GB, you'd have to pay 6,000L.L extra, now it's 5.01GB and pow!! it's 12,000L.L

yes i did this work-around because they refused to give me pppoe pass then later things got much easier
but hey, it's more fun to brute-force than asking gently isn't it

I have an hdsl from ogero, same quota problem, it's barely mid October and I've already got 10gb burned. I called the support guy to complain, he asked me to email him and only then he will be able to get me log file and not even in details. H said something that has to do with the system that is put of his control....go figure. Ya ain ogero. Th first opportunity to change ISP I will take it.
mahmoud-brk
There's a problem with the quota thing, it's getting consumed faster than it's supposed to be. Also, my friend's quota is 40 GB instead of 4 GB!
Kareem
DU meter daily usage report 91MB
Ogero website report : 162 MB :-) :-)
ali_m3
Yes i can also confirm there is something wrong with Ogero consumption meter, my Network meter reports around 1G, ogero around 2G....and i have my wireless turned off

i know alot of ogero subs have this problem too but 70% because of wep wpa hack that is going around ,but for mid-level network geek like me i'm pretty sure that traffic is being stolen or miscalculated by ogero , i have seen the technical staff inside and talked to them they are like "i hate this shitty job and low wage" and maybe they are searching for another source to make money "barrane" so let loose your imagination boys -_-
now how to make this technical complaints reach ogero in a serious way

How about we post about the erroneous monthly volume calculations on Minister Sehnaoui's facebook page to make our voice heard ?
Raficoo
I think I just accidentally the graph
mohammadk97
plz could you tell me how to see the download usage in thomson gateway?
Rakrouki
I don't have Facebook, but would really appreciate if someone tells mr sehnaoui about these problems coz I think he also has a problem with his advisors, they are advising him well, at least so far. Slow implementation is coming as a surprise to users as well to them.
Rakrouki
Mahmoud, the new hdsl quota is now 40gb like you said, however it is for both up and down (cumulative), which means we only got an increase of 2.5 times not 5 times like they claim, as before up and down were 8gb each

mohammadk97 wroteplz could you tell me how to see the download usage in thomson gateway?
I saw mine on my Ogero account. just log in to your Ogero account (
www.ogero.gov.lb) and click "View DSL usage volume for number "your number" " and it will show the graphs
if you mean how to see the monthly recorded usage on your thomson.. well I have Thomson as well but I can only see the usage for the last time the modem was on :/
unless anyone else knows if there's a way..?
wasborn
exactly you can see the log session since last restart of modem
frankly i calculate them all the time session + session "since we have electricity blackouts every FQ day"
as for the online traffic usage me and my freind who is a programmer made a C++ small application for systray in windows xp :) that shows the traffic usage on 5 minute-basis interval but that was in the beginning of ogero dsl it was then 4 gb up and down
i offered this app for ogero back then hehe but no they need people to stay blind to make more money
do you think they are sad for wep wpa hack shit? home user are getting robbed from surrounding wireless users and they pay hundreds of thousands every month isn't that also worth to complain

I called Ogero, they said that towns and rural areas will probably have to wait till 2012 to get the new speeds.
