Almighty wroteGuys, to whom is interested, tplink vr400 ac1200 (VDSL/ADSL modem) is now available at top technologies, price $120. I will be getting mine maybe this week.
Did you argue with them about the price? Cause I just called and they told me that it's for 135$

EDIT: Guys do you think the VR900 will have any added value over the VR400 considering the speeds and technologies we are expecting to have in the near or even distant future in Lebanon (fiber optics)? Or is it just a total waste of money in our case as it costs around 230$ ?

We need an alternative, 120$ for a not-so-feature-packed modem is a ripoff

you are right man, but thats the only available option now i guess.
Mr. Imad said that the Website will be upgraded in the end of July.
that is good news, but the thing is will the unlimited night be available when the website and application is done?
cyberia just called me to check that I got my filters and whatever all connected right because they will open the speeds at the start of the month, that's what they said
So cyberia customers will automatically get open speeds on first of next month?

So we continue to pay the usual plans and we get new speeds?
I didn't ask for details because i'm at work but will do when I get back
I'm with Cyberia on a 2M/50G plan.
I noticed for a couple of days that my "current" speed has been increased to 4Mbps without me asking for anything.
My measured speed seems capped at 3.3Mbps though.
Still this is quite an improvement as I hardly got above 1Mbps sometimes less during peak hours before.

Question: should I set the modem to ADSL1 (G.dmt) or to ADSL2+?

With ADSL1 my maximum download speed is given at ~8Mbps, and on ADSL2+ at ~6Mbps.

I am about 3 kms from the Exchange.

Adsl2+ produces more noise on the line and you are already far from the co, if adsl2+ gives you max 6mb and g.dmt 8mb then go for g.dmt no doubt because the speed will be stable and 2 more mbps than the unstable 6mbps
"Internet Faster than ever! Get Cyberia's NEW FullSpeed ADSL Internet for $9 only with Wi-Fi modem & 2 months FREE! Limited Offer. Call us now 01-744101."

So they will have open speed plans starting 10 bucks, probably with ~20Gbs.
