We can go to rebound if most prefer to play on fake grass...

@kiwithefruit  dont worry about location... we can meet all at one common place and from there go to the football field together...

I have cruised through most football fields, but the one that i find the best, is ansar footbal club. Now the name isnt actualy ansar footbal club, but anyway its on taree2 2el matar. Its on the same road going to hoops, but continue straight and then left on the main road. Anyway i play there EVERY friday, yes today i am going. I play offense and goal keep and defence :P. Really put me anywhere and i take my position, now i have some derp moments and some great moments as i am not an avid player (thats basketball where i am).

We play 1hr and a half for 120,000 so its cheap and good. Its basicly 1/2 a real footbal field, we play 7 w gk so 8 vs 8.

Thats my recommendation so i am in, so long its LATE and i mean like 8 pm at least :(. We play @ 10 on fridays.

We should start lebgeeks athlete team, footbal and basketball. Make it on a weekly basis for some health/sport/fitness. Who said geeks dont have a life and dont play sports :D. We are LEBANESE GEEKS we do everything.

Referee would be a MOD????

Haha it would be like *whistle* Beej you violated the TOS, you wrote sms style while tackling your frend and said the F word, red card :P

The games I watched MrClass playing was always as a goalkeeper, it would be fun to see how he fairs on the field on other positions... Making fun of him would be icing on the cake (Sorry bro, sibling love is a bit complicated) :D

I still remember watching arithma playing football on the uni field, it's like watching tendons play and his shots were brutal... It was awesome I might actually come and watch :)

@Beej, i think it would be problematic to find 16 players + i personally don't know the road to reach there...

i would not mind going if somebody can show me the road and we can find 16 player which i really don't think is a good idea for the first time we play together... maybe later, but as i mentioned i really wouldnt mind either way

now that we have some decent numbers...

anybody can reserve a field ?

We can all gather someplace and then drive all the way, i do have a car, ell its a metal on wheels.

ANyway we can all meet and then take each other home.

Edit: Wait, hold on just a minut?!?! I wana have what hes taking! Is that you? Man i should have filmed myself freestyling basketball back in my days. I beat a freestyle basketball player infront of his coach/sponsor :P and i shut him down (the sponsor) i was like "nop, but i have to go to uni" Man i was stupid, look at me a graduate from the toughest uni with the toughest degree, and still without a proper job.

Ill try and wake the 17 year old kid within me, but its gna be tough and imbarresing. But whatever as long as its fun i dont care. I tend to have crazy moments though, but when the time comes/needs i am dead serious.
So warning to all, if you are a sore looser or a soor winner, please for the sake of others and yourself DO NOT COME. We are here, well not yet but we are getting there, to have FUN.

I can reserve the field i told you guys about, if its good for you. They do have smaler fields so dont worry about being 8.

So? Can anyone confirm? I have his number already so i can book whenever, but i need a solid confirmation. We can meet like in hamra or at NINO store or whatever and move as a group. But i suggest we book at about 8:30-9, since we have the time for anyone who is late.

I dont leave soldiers behind.

I think 9 is better, to meet and wait for everybody to come and then go... for everybody that is going to be a little late at work... better be safe then sorry :D

this is embarrassing but I don't know how to reach Hamra hahahh... if somebody can meet me in forum de beirut it would be great... i have car...

Beej i think the best way is to call him and reserve a day next week and then post the day here and the time... thursday would be good i think... and then we get a final confirmation and share each other phone and emails... since i already asked for people to put if there is any day they prefer or can't make it... and nobody said anything about that... so if you can check when the field is free , everybody should be able to make it...

I dont know about the grass really,but i think its fake, sine after i come home there are the black grain things in my shoes. But its good trust me, i tend to stray away from sundays, since well sunday is family day and it preceeds monday (1st day on the job so irritating). I know there will be some contradiction, but i am definitly free all weekdays. And if its set on sunday well then i dont break promises, i said i am IN :P. But if we want to make it on a regular basis, it cannot be on weekends, since some will go with hs family, some will go with friends, and some will go with their <3. We dont want anyone blaming us on his/her breakup now would we?

I'm in for Thursday as well, but I'll confirm for sure on Monday. It should be ok though because my classes end usually at 20:15.
I propose we meet at Virgin Megastore, it's easy to find and has a parking on the other side of the street!
