How I only get a maximum of 15kbs. I'm using sky-net VISP, and that server is in Haifa try pinging it to Europe servers like in Germany.

Hello Nuclearcat Im in bekaa and wanted to change to visp. The reseller in my area had a weak signal to me so Khajag from visp got me a direct link to beirut through one of his miktrotiks which my connection with is perfect. Except my horrible ping to 2.2.2.10 (70-80ms) which is also very weird since the reseller had 6-15ms to the gateaway almost all the time. Shouldnt I get better latency than him because im bypassing his server and customers?  Also My download is horribly slow. Always starts at 60KB and down to 30KB even cached stuff in less than a minute.

I wanted a 2mb account at first but wanted to give it a trial. This is much less than the 1mb with real ip that Im promised.

Do you have any idea what might be my issue and how could I resolve it? thanks alot! heres mystat profile and tracerout.

it is the average of last 7 days. so it changes every day not once every 7 days.

So how's the update on your connection guys?
Mine was pretty steady at 80ms since 2 months

My main problem right now is the even with real IP, websites see the VISP proxy ip which many forums have identified it as a proxy and banned it so i am banned from a huge portion of the internet....

Edit: Nuclearcat fixed it. now I can open forums.mozillazine.org and such websites again

Well the lag spikes at 2-3am are a bit better for me I don't get a steady latency not until 3:30am. Download is still slow and by 10pm till 2am, well good luck using it happily.

Hey guys, quick question. Does VISP have the " between 11/12 PM to 7/8 AM free internet" thing like most internet providers?

3 to 7AM does not count towards your quota.

something just snapped today, games are unplayable
only port 80 having constant 80ms ping

Edit:

Connection with no load showing the regular 75ms on google

Connection with playing a game on steam showing a load of 12kb/s with pings of 700ms+

Does anyone have the same problem where someone opens "google" or any website the ping reaches over 20000 ms? Its annoying me and it really needs to be fixed.

I have the real IP and I have been paying for it, but they haven't given it to me since 2 months ago and I have told the guy about it.

5000+ms latency since noon
but ping to VISP (172.16.41.1) is under 5ms all the time so not a link problem.

Yes I got real ip and all of a sudden 90 ms all day, but I'm starting to get a stable 170ms today which is really annoying when playing LoL.
